The purpose of the Appalachian Christmas Outreach is to minister both physically and spiritually to people in some of the poorest areas of our nation. Teams serve in the states of West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina. Projects include week-long service in children's ministry, sports clinics, music, and construction, to name a few. Mission opportunities may also include the collection, delivery, and distribution of items such as food, school supplies, clothing, etc., which can be done in the course of a few days or over a weekend.

Thank you to all the churches that participated in the collection of backpacks for Mallory, W.Va. This year 368 backpacks were delivered. Thirty-three mission volunteers went to distribute these backpacks and to share the gospel of God’s love through His Son, Jesus. We went into the hollars, a park, and several business parking lots on Saturday. On Sunday we set up stations at the local middle school. We had crafts, games, other give-a-ways, Bible story, soup meal, and backpack distribution. God was glorified through your participation and through the mission team’s work.
